New Baby Lucy

We want to welcome Lucy Adalynn to the family. She was born to Rayce's sister Sarah on Sunday May 30, 2010. She weighed in at 4 pounds 14 ounces. Both Mom and baby are doing great. We are so proud of Sarah and the choices she has made. And we are so excited to have this new precious baby in our lives. We can't wait to meet her.
It was really special because Sarah wasn't due for another two weeks, and then her Dr. decided to induce her on the 31st, but later changed his mind to the 30th, which happened to be Rayce's birthday. He was so excited to be able to share this day with his new niece. He was so honored and is proud to be able to share this day with her forever.

Well hasn't this just been a ball of fun...NOT

So, my last few weeks have just been miserable! When I got to about 11 or 12 weeks, I started to feel better. My morning sickness was lightening up and I wasn't so tired all the time. But that only lasted for about a week. Then s*** hit the fan! I have been going DAYS where nothing is staying down in my tummy. I have been getting weak and extremely tired! I swear I spent most of my days huddled around my toilet. It has been no fun. Although the one good thing is that my kids are no longer bothered by someone throwing up. They just walk right in the bathroom now and ask if I need anything, which is really annoying at the moment, but it is reallly quite sweet!
Yesterday was my breaking point. I hadn't been able to hardly move from the couch to the bathroom. A few times I almost didn't make it. It was really rough. So this morning I called the Dr. to see if I could get on some different meds that would help me out a little. They made me come in and do a blood draw. They said that I was severely dehydrated and that I needed an IV right away. The problem was, was I had a final in about 20 minutes, then I had to help in my 4 year old's classroom, then had a Mother's Day snack in my 6 year olds classroom. So they let me come back at three to get the IV. I never realized how hard an exam table was until I had to lay on it with my arm perfectly straight for 3 hours. It wasn't fun. But with two extra bags of fluids in my, I do feel a little better tonight. I am 15 weeks and just freeking ready to feel better. Hopefully soon!
